Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 24, 2025
At BoomerPath, your privacy is not just protected — it's respected. This policy outlines how we collect, use, and safeguard your information.
1. Information We Collect
BoomerPath collects only the information necessary to help families coordinate care securely, clearly, and compassionately. We do not collect data for advertising, profiling, or resale. We do not share your data with anyone — ever.
-
Personal Identifiers:
We collect basic contact information such as your name, email address, and phone number. This allows us to create your account, send notifications, and support secure login and password recovery. We do not use this information for marketing, and we do not share it with third parties. -
Care-Related Data:
BoomerPath is built to help you track and manage care. You may choose to enter notes, medication schedules, calendar events, documents, and other care-related information. This data is stored securely and is only visible to you and the care team members you explicitly invite. We do not analyze, mine, or share this data with anyone outside your care circle. -
Device and Usage Information:
We collect limited technical data such as browser type, operating system, and IP address. This helps us improve performance, detect bugs, and ensure accessibility across devices. We do not use cookies or tracking technologies for behavioral profiling, and we do not share usage data with analytics firms or advertisers. -
Payment and Billing Details (if applicable):
If you subscribe to premium features, payment information is collected and processed securely by Stripe. BoomerPath does not store your full credit card number, and we do not have access to your financial credentials. Stripe is contractually bound to use your data only for billing purposes — never for marketing or resale.
Every piece of data you enter into BoomerPath is yours. We do not sell it. We do not rent it. We do not share it. Our systems are designed to protect your privacy, not exploit it.
2. How We Use Your Information
Every piece of information you share with BoomerPath is used solely to support your care journey. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers, analytics firms, or third-party platforms. Our use of your data is strictly limited to the following purposes:
-
To provide and improve BoomerPath services:
We use your information to deliver the features you rely on — secure login, care coordination, document storage, medication tracking, and more. We also use aggregated, non-identifiable usage patterns to improve performance, fix bugs, and enhance accessibility. No personal data is ever used for commercial analysis or external benchmarking. -
To personalize your experience and care coordination:
BoomerPath adapts to your needs. Whether you're tracking medications, sharing notes, or inviting family members, we use your input to tailor the experience to your care context. This personalization happens entirely within your account — we do not profile you, and we do not use personalization to target or segment users. -
To communicate updates, alerts, and support:
We may send you notifications about upcoming appointments, medication reminders, or account activity. We also use your contact information to respond to support requests and provide onboarding guidance. You control your notification preferences, and we never send promotional emails or third-party offers. -
To comply with legal and regulatory obligations:
In rare cases, we may be required to retain or disclose certain information to comply with applicable laws, court orders, or regulatory requirements. These disclosures are reviewed carefully and executed only when legally mandated. We do not volunteer data, and we do not cooperate with any entity seeking access for commercial or surveillance purposes.
We believe privacy is not just a feature — it’s a foundation. BoomerPath uses your data to serve you, not to monetize you. Your information stays within your control, and every use is designed to support clarity, safety, and peace of mind.
3. Data Sharing and Disclosure
At BoomerPath, we believe privacy is not negotiable. Your data belongs to you — and only you. We do not sell, rent, trade, or disclose your personal information to any third party for marketing, analytics, or commercial gain. Period.
-
We do not sell your data — ever:
BoomerPath does not participate in data marketplaces, advertising networks, or behavioral profiling. We do not monetize your care records, contact information, or usage patterns. Your data is never used to target you, segment you, or influence your behavior. We exist to support families — not to exploit them. -
We may share data with trusted service providers under strict agreements:
To deliver essential platform features (such as email notifications or payment processing), we work with a small number of carefully vetted service providers. These include:- SendGrid: for secure email delivery
- Stripe: for encrypted payment processing
-
We may disclose data when required by law or to protect safety:
In rare and exceptional cases, we may be legally required to disclose limited information in response to a valid court order, subpoena, or regulatory request. We review all such requests carefully and comply only when legally obligated. We may also disclose data to prevent imminent harm — for example, if a user is at risk of self-harm or abuse and disclosure is necessary to protect life or safety.
These disclosures are rare, reviewed by our internal team, and executed with the minimum data necessary. We do not cooperate with surveillance programs, and we do not volunteer data to any government or commercial entity.
We do not use third-party analytics. We do not embed tracking pixels. We do not allow advertisers to profile our users. Every decision we make is grounded in one principle: your data stays yours.
4. Data Security
At BoomerPath, protecting your information is not just a technical requirement — it’s a moral responsibility. We understand that the data you share may include sensitive medical details, legal documents, and deeply personal notes. That’s why we’ve built our platform with security at every layer.
-
Encryption in transit and at rest:
All data exchanged between your device and our servers is encrypted using industry-standard TLS protocols. Once stored, your data is encrypted again using secure algorithms to prevent unauthorized access — even from internal systems. -
Secure infrastructure:
BoomerPath runs on hardened cloud environments with strict access controls, firewalls, and continuous monitoring. We isolate sensitive workloads, enforce least-privilege access, and use automated threat detection to identify and respond to anomalies. -
Role-based access controls:
Within your care team, each member only sees what you explicitly allow. Administrators, caregivers, and family members have clearly defined roles, and permissions are enforced at the data level. No one — including BoomerPath staff — can view your care records without authorization. -
Regular audits and penetration testing:
We conduct internal security reviews and engage third-party experts to test our systems for vulnerabilities. These audits help us stay ahead of emerging threats and ensure that our protections remain strong and current. -
No silent access, no surveillance:
BoomerPath does not monitor your activity, scan your documents, or analyze your behavior. We do not use your data for internal profiling, and we do not allow any external entity to access it — not for marketing, not for research, not for analytics.
We treat your data like we would treat our own family’s — with discretion, respect, and uncompromising protection. Security isn’t a feature. It’s our foundation.
5. Your Rights and Choices
BoomerPath is built to serve families — not to trap them. You have full control over your information, your account, and your experience. We make it easy to access, update, and remove your data at any time, without hidden barriers or delays.
-
Access and update your personal information:
You can view and edit your name, email address, phone number, and other profile details directly within your account settings. If you notice incorrect or outdated information, you can correct it immediately. We do not restrict access to your own data, and we do not charge fees for updates. -
Request deletion of your account and data:
If you choose to leave BoomerPath, you can delete your account and all associated data permanently. This includes care notes, documents, calendar events, and team member access. Once deleted, your data is not archived, backed up, or retained. We do not hold onto your information “just in case.” When you say it’s gone — it’s gone. -
Manage notification and communication preferences:
You control how and when BoomerPath contacts you. You can adjust your preferences for email alerts, care reminders, and system updates. We do not send promotional messages, and we do not share your contact information with any third party. Every notification is designed to support your care journey — never to distract or sell.
We believe privacy means control. BoomerPath gives you the tools to manage your data with confidence, clarity, and compassion. No hidden settings. No fine print. Just respect for your choices — always.
6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
BoomerPath uses cookies sparingly and transparently. Our goal is to support secure login, session continuity, and accessibility — not to track behavior or collect personal insights. We do not use cookies for advertising, profiling, or third-party analytics. Your activity is never monitored, and your privacy is never compromised.
-
Session cookies:
These temporary cookies help maintain your login state as you navigate the platform. They expire automatically when you log out or close your browser. Without them, secure access and care coordination would be disrupted. -
Accessibility and preference cookies:
We may store simple preferences — such as font size, contrast settings, or language — to improve usability. These cookies are optional and can be cleared at any time. -
No tracking technologies:
BoomerPath does not use tracking pixels, fingerprinting scripts, or behavioral analytics. We do not monitor your clicks, scrolls, or time spent on pages. We do not build user profiles, and we do not share cookie data with any third party. -
No third-party cookies:
We do not embed cookies from advertisers, social media platforms, or external analytics providers. Your data stays within BoomerPath — and under your control.
You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings. You may choose to block or delete cookies at any time, though some features (like secure login) may require them to function properly. We respect your choices and never override them.
At BoomerPath, cookies are used to serve you — not to watch you. We believe privacy means freedom from surveillance, and we’ve built our platform to honor that belief.
7. Third-Party Services
BoomerPath uses a small number of trusted third-party services to deliver essential platform functionality — such as email delivery and payment processing. These integrations are purpose-built, tightly scoped, and governed by strict data protection agreements. We do not allow third-party services to access your care records, personal notes, or documents. We do not embed third-party trackers, analytics scripts, or advertising networks.
-
Stripe (Payment Processing):
If you subscribe to premium features, your payment is securely processed by Stripe. BoomerPath does not store your full credit card number, and we do not have access to your financial credentials. Stripe is contractually bound to use your data only for billing purposes — never for marketing, profiling, or resale. You can review their policy at stripe.com/privacy. -
SendGrid (Email Delivery):
BoomerPath uses SendGrid to deliver system emails — such as account confirmations, password resets, and care alerts. These emails are generated by BoomerPath and sent securely through SendGrid’s infrastructure. SendGrid does not have access to your care data, and it does not use your email address for any purpose beyond delivery. You can review their policy at sendgrid.com/policies/privacy.
We do not use third-party analytics platforms. We do not embed social media plugins. We do not allow any third-party service to monitor, track, or profile our users. Every integration is reviewed for privacy impact, and none are allowed to operate silently or without purpose.
We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party service you interact with through BoomerPath. If you ever have questions about how your data is handled, we’re here to answer — clearly, honestly, and without jargon.
8. Children's Privacy
BoomerPath is designed for adults — specifically those coordinating care for aging parents, partners, or loved ones. It is not intended for use by children under the age of 13, and we take that boundary seriously.
-
No child accounts:
We do not offer accounts, features, or onboarding flows for children. Our platform is built for adult caregivers, and every interface assumes adult-level responsibility and consent. -
No intentional data collection from minors:
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we discover that a child has submitted data — whether through a shared device, mistaken registration, or third-party input — we will delete that information promptly and permanently. -
No behavioral tracking or profiling:
BoomerPath does not use cookies, analytics, or behavioral tools that could identify or target children. We do not embed third-party trackers, and we do not allow advertisers or external services to monitor usage. -
Parental oversight encouraged:
If a child accesses BoomerPath unintentionally, we encourage parents or guardians to contact us immediately. We will work with you to remove any data and ensure that no information is retained.
We believe privacy begins with boundaries. BoomerPath is built for adults — and we protect that boundary with clarity, care, and zero tolerance for misuse. If you have questions or concerns about children’s privacy, we’re here to respond with transparency and respect.
9. Changes to This Policy
BoomerPath is committed to transparency. If we ever make changes to this privacy policy, we will communicate those changes clearly, respectfully, and in advance. We do not make silent edits, and we do not bury updates in fine print. You deserve to know exactly how your data is handled — always.
-
Policy updates:
We may revise this policy to reflect changes in law, technology, platform features, or security practices. Every update is reviewed internally for clarity, impact, and alignment with our core promise: your data stays yours. -
Advance notice:
If a change affects how your data is collected, used, or protected, we will notify you in advance. This may include in-app alerts, email notifications, or banners within your dashboard. We do not make retroactive changes, and we do not assume consent. -
Your continued control:
After any update, you will have the opportunity to review the new policy and make informed choices. You may adjust your settings, delete your account, or contact us with questions. We will never force changes on you without explanation or recourse.
We believe privacy is a relationship — not a checkbox. If our policies evolve, you’ll be the first to know, and you’ll always have the final say. That’s our promise.
10. Contact Us
